This model is hand-crafted from hard wood with planks on frame construction and painted.
Please note: This model is packed with mast folded flat to minimize damage in transit. - assembly of the mast and rigging is required.
The J-class yacht Velsheda was designed by Charles Nicholson and built in 1933 by Camper & Nicholson at Gosport. She was built for businessman Mr. W.L. Stevenson and named after his three daughters, Velma, Sheila and Daphne. Between 1933 and 1936, she won many races and competed with other great yachts such as Britannia, Endeavour and Shamrock. It is currently owned by the Dutch business man Ronald de Waal, from European retail fashion chain WE.
